Lifeguarding Class

In-Person Sessions, held at Moon Area HS Natatorium (not all may be necessary)

FULL Certification & Re-Certification Class dates can be found on the registration page

*If class dates are not shown, than a certification class is currently not being offered*

**Classes require a minimum of 5 to keep the lifeguarding class. Any participation < 5 is subject to be canceled**

Student Qualifications/Prerequisites

> For brand new certifications: Applicant must be 15 years old by the start of the class (verification required) / for re-certifications: applicant must have a current ARC Lifeguarding certification that is valid or expired within the past 30 days of the class start date

> Applicant must have the ability to swim-tread-swim sequence (150yd swim, free/breast, goggles permitted + 2:00 tread with heads/elbows out of water + 50yd free/breast)

> Applicant must be able to complete the deep-water brick test in under 90 seconds (jump/dive into the deep end of the pool to retrieve a weighted 10-lbs brick and carry/swim with it to the shallow end)

Course Cost

> For brand new certifications, the cost is $250. This cost covers facility rental time, course supplies, course processing with ARC, insurance coverage for class session, and instructor time. 

> For re-certifications, the cost is $175. This cost covers facility rental time, course supplies, course processing with ARC, insurance coverage for class session, and instructor time. 

Course payments must be made before the start of the class. If payment is not received prior to the start of the class, students will not be permitted to participate.
